Dr. Gail Weingast Has always been sure to have plenty of education, of course. For most doctors, that a requirement. Following medical school, Dr. Gail Weingast completed a pediatrics internship from 1976-1977 and then followed that up by completing a pediatrics residency over the subsequent two years. Continuing her education under the auspices of Colorado General Hospital in Denver, she also completed a residency in radiology from 1980 to 1983 and a fellowship in the field of ultrasound in 1983. Dr. Weingast managed to complete her post-graduate studies as a radiologist from 1983 to 1984 at St. Anthony’s Hospital, which is also located in Denver.
Once her studies were complete, Dr. Gail Weingast practiced worked at several other hospitals in Colorado, before working in another in New York, before she finally settled into her current position, where she has been for more than two decades.
Dr. Gail Weingast is considered an accomplished radiology specialist. These days, she practices at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut. There, she also serves as the Chief of Ultrasound and Breast Imaging. While the path that led her to where she is didn’t always follow a straight line, she certainly values every aspect of her educational and career journey, since it all contributed to making her the medical specialist she is today.
