Approximately 50 years ago, in 1969, the first men landed on the moon and future doctor Gail Weingast attended Jackson College at Tufts University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. While that might seem to indicate that medicine wasn’t necessarily a calling, that sure changed soon after that, because she attended the Boston University School of Medicine and became Dr. Gail Weingast MD in 1976.
Following med school, as is usual for doctors Dr. Gail Weingast did a two-year pediatrics internship and a two-year pediatrics residency, followed by a three-year residency in radiology and a fellowship ultrasound, all under the auspices of Colorado General Hospital in Denver. She completed that in 1983, but Dr. Gail Weingast wasn’t finished. She finally completed her post-graduate studies as a radiologist in 1984 at St. Anthony’s Hospital, also in Denver. Since then, Dr. Gail Weingast has learned even more, to the point that she has become a prominent radiologist in her own right and she also has led her radiology department to become the best in New England and beyond.
